General Terms & Conditions - Paris Wine Walks

We are pleased that you have chosen to use our services and thank you for your confidence in us. Please read the following General Contract and Travel Conditions carefully.

1. Scope

1.1. These General Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between you and Paris Wine Walks in respect of the private day trips and other travel services we offer.

1.2. These GTCs apply to Paris Wine Walks. A wine walk is defined as such when we arrange a site-specific visit that includes a professional wine guide, wine tastings and or lunch or an aperitif for a duration of between 2 and 4 hours.

1.3. The services provided by Paris Wine Walks are limited to the descriptions of 'what is included' for each tour. Additional purchases of wine or dishes not included in pre-selected menus are at the participant's expense.

2. Conclusion of a contract

A contract is concluded once Paris Wine Walks has accepted a pre-paid booking you have made in writing (letter, e-mail or via the Internet) or by telephone.

3. Terms of payment

In general, wine walks  must be paid for at the time of booking. Other services as described in point 1.3. of these GTCs are paid directly to the provider in question in accordance with their own General Terms of Trade.

4. Cancellation and alteration by the customer

4.1 Full payment is required at the time of booking.

4.2 75% of the total price will be refunded in case of a cancellation occurring more than 15 days prior to Tour Date. In case of a cancellation occurring closer to the Tour Date, it is up to the Tour Operator's discretion to issue a refund, which may be partial or complete. Cancellations within 2 days of tour departure will not be refunded.

4.3 No-shows will be treated as cancellations and no refund will be awarded.

4.4. If you are unable to participate, you can in principle appoint a replacement who will take part in the tour under the same conditions.

5. Programme alterations and cancellation of trip by the provider

5.1. Should the walk be cancelled by Paris Wine Walks at any point, full refund, or a credit for another walk of the same value will be awarded.

5.2. Should the arrangements actually provided be of lesser value than the arrangements originally planned, the difference will be refunded to you if Paris Wine Walks or another provider were at fault.

5.3 Tours operate year-round in all weather. Tours cannot be cancelled for inclement weather and will only be so in the event public authorities close access to parks or gardens in which a vineyard is located. In this case, the terms in article 5.1 will apply.

6. Complaints

6.1. If the trip does not meet the contractual agreement, or if you suffer losses, you are entitled and obliged to notify the relevant service provider of the relevant shortcoming or losses without delay.

6.2. Should the service provider at the location be unable to find a satisfactory solution, and therefore the shortcoming is not (properly) resolved, you should complain in writing to Paris Wine Walks within 30 days of the date on which the trip was due to end.

6.3. You will automatically lose any entitlement if you do not complain to the service provider at the location (see 6.1.) or send a written complaint to Paris Wine Walks, 13 rue Linné, 75005 Paris within the time allowed (see 6.2.).

7. Liability

7.1. Paris Wine Walks is liable for personal loss arising from the death, physical injury or illness of a customer if this is caused by the negligence of ourselves or a service provider commissioned to provide tour arrangements.

7.2. Paris Wine Walks liability for direct, immediate material loss is limited, in cases where we are at fault, to twice the cost of the tour, unless the loss was caused deliberately or as a result of gross negligence on our part. Any further liability, particularly for indirect loss and/or consequential loss, is excluded.

8. Litigation

Before starting legal action you may contact the MTV, Médiation Tourisme Voyage, BP 80303 - 75823 PARIS Cedex 17, at any time. The commission always strives to reach a fair and balanced decision in disputes between travellers and travel service providers.

9. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

The contractual relationship between you and Paris Wine Walks is subject to French law. Paris is the sole place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising. Please note, that in case of any legal dispute, the French version of these GTCs is solely applicable.
